The Park Circle Butterfly Garden is conveniently located on the grounds of the Felix C. Davis Community Center in the center of Park Circle in North Charleston. This garden is home to more than 75 different plants that attract butterflies. There are several picnic tables and benches for you to enjoy your lunch or just take a break.
This garden serves as an educational garden for the community to learn about the types of plants that thrive in the area. The "Plant List" link to the right lists just some of the beautiul plants in this garden that attract butterflies to the North Charleston area.
Additionally, Keep North Charleston Beautiful offers field trips to preschools during the months of September and October. These are the months that you will find the highest concentration of butterflies in the garden. If you are interested in learning more about the field trips, click the "Field Trips" link to the right.
Currently we have three Flowerscape sponsors who are responsible for maintaining the garden once a month - the SC Stingrays, Paul Mitchell the School Charleston, and the College of Charleston Honors Student Association.
If you are interested in becoming a Flowerscape sponsor (we are currently looking for one more) or would like to learn more about the garden, please send us an email to email@example.com.
