The Light Switch JB Charleston Youth Program Air Base
The Teen Club group signed up to beautify its Youth Center patio. Debris was cleaned up, old pots were weeded, and all pots were repotted. They cleaned up dead leaves, trash, acorns, weeds and other debris in the area. Using trash bags from Clean Cities Sweep organization helped with their expenses, and most of their budget was used to purchase plants and flowers.
Three volunteers spent two hours picking up trash and recycling along railroad tracks adjacent to the trailer park across from the BP station. Two full bags of glass bottles were collected.
The Metanoia group, which consisted of 60 volunteers including students from our after-school programs, collected 35 bags of trash from various areas around the Chicora Cherokee Neighborhood.
Project summaries are provided by each group's project coordinator.
