This week, the Coastal Crisis Chaplaincy hosted a pastoral crisis intervention class at North Charleston City Hall. Students attending were local chaplains who will be assigned to support local fresh responders including NCPD, the North Charleston Fire Department, the community, and survivors.
Also in attendance were leaders of the Ukrainian police patrol chaplain’s organization, which leads and trains Ukrainian public safety chaplains. The chaplains also spoke to our evening shift before the officers took to the road. Our agency is very thankful to the chaplaincy for their support.
