Please join NCPD in congratulating Officer Andrew Marshall, our Employee of the Month for September 2024. On September 26, Officer Marshall informed his colleagues at a squad briefing about a business in the North Bureau that had been broken into and vandalized, resulting in thousands of dollars in damage over the course of two nights.
After the shift briefing, Officer Marshall decided to check on the business. He discovered someone inside vandalizing the property. Officer Marshall monitored the suspect and relayed information to the responding officers. Officers surrounded the business and arrested the suspect as he attempted to escape through the back door. At the time of the arrest, the officers had few leads and no video surveillance related to the previous burglaries.
