Fence Permit

Permit Application

1. Submittal of a completed building permit application is required
2. Submittal of an accurate and scaled plot plan showing:
   1. the location of property lines
   2. all existing and proposed building structures on property
   3. existing building setbacks
   4. show trees 8” dbh or greater within the vicinity of the fence
   5. if applicable, install tree protection
   6. provide the proposed fence height and material type – wood privacy fence must be installed with the finished (smooth) side facing outward
   7. if applicable, show existing easements and provide encroachment permits where applicable
   8. if applicable, provide approval letter from the homeowners’ association/ civic league/ architectural review board

3. Zoning Inspection required

Paperwork is forwarded to the Building Department for issuance of the permit.
