Please join NCPD in congratulating Edward Gadsden, the recipient of our agency’s “Civilian Achievement Award” for December 2022. On November 3, while at work Gadsden saw someone outside on the ground, unconscious and not alert from an apparent drug overdose. Gadsden gave the individual a dose of Narcan. One of our officers was on scene and gave the person a second dose of Narcan. The individual regained consciousness, was checked out by EMS and determined to be okay. Mr. Gadsden, thank you for helping to save a life!
