After three decades of dedicated service to the North Charleston Police Department and the community, Police Chief Greg Gomes has announced his retirement, effective June 30, 2024. Chief Gomes’s steadfast leadership and commitment to public safety have left an indelible mark on the department and the community he has served with distinction.
