Please join NCPD in congratulating Ptl. Brianna Francis, recipient of a Certificate of Recognition for June 2024. On June 16, Officer Francis and assisting units responded to Boost Mobile on Rivers Avenue for a report of a burglary in progress.
The masked suspect was reportedly seen on camera breaking into the business. Officers on the scene established a perimeter around the building. Officer Francis saw the broken glass window at the front door and signaled to another officer.
As she approached the business, Ptl. Francis saw the masked suspect jump from the bushes in front of the building and run across Rivers Avenue. She caught him as he was trying to climb a fence surrounding Horizon Village. The suspect was charged with Burglary Second Degree and taken to the Al Cannon Detention Center.
