Pfc. Windhorst honored for saving woman’s life

NCPD is pleased to announce that Pfc. Anthony Windhorst has been honored with the “Lifesaving Award” for April 2024. On March 31, Pfc. Windhorst swiftly responded to a distress call at Northwoods Mall, where a woman was found unresponsive in her vehicle.
Pfc. Windhorst took immediate action, administering Narcan and performing sternum rubs until the arrival of Charleston County EMS, which transported the woman to the hospital. Pfc. Windhorst’s quick thinking and decisive actions  prevented a potentially fatal outcome.
His discovery of drug paraphernalia underscores the gravity of the situation and the impact of his intervention. Congratulations to Pfc. Anthony Windhorst for his exceptional performance and lifesaving efforts.
