Down the steps from the Eternal Father of the Sea Chapel is Quarters F, known now as the Gatekeepers Inn. The two story late Victorian-era home was a cottage for the keeper of Chicora Park, a public park commissioned in 1895 by the City of Charleston and designed by the Olmsted brothers. The building was constructed in 1898. The residence was purchased by the United States Navy in 1901, for the Admiral until a larger home was completed. The Gatekeepers Inn is the oldest quarters in the historic officer’s housing district.
This beautiful 4-bedroom home boosts 3 full bathrooms, and additional 3-1/2 baths. The home also features a large dining room, sitting room, morning porch, music room and solarium overlooking the grounds of the Chapel. This is a perfect addition for the wedding parties to stay the night before the ceremony, a romantic getaway, or all of life’s special moments.

$5,500 – Day event with an overnight stay
$2,000 – Each additional night stay
$1,000 – Damage deposit (To be returned up to 90 days after event if no damages occur)
$500 – Cleaning Fee

It is required that all pre-approved event coordinators, caterers and floral services provide the appropriate license (City of North Charleston Business License) and insurance documentations to the venue coordinator prior to the final walkthrough. All vendors and service contractors are responsible for clean-up and removal of their equipment, food, and garbage immediately following any events.
